Because moles are rarely seen and are elusive by nature, most people know moles only by the destruction they cause such as molehills and tunnels, on lawns, golf courses and gardens. For a small animal it can cause major damage and destruction.

Control

Traditional methods of trapping are still a very efficient way of controlling moles. On the market are a variety of mole repellents and electronic vibrating poles that are put in the ground where mole activity is evident. These can deter the mole for a while but they soon get used to the vibrations and smell and then they return to dig again. Trapping is really the only humane method of removing moles.
